Laura Bozzo is alive. In recent days a rumor spread online that the TV host had died, but her team denied it right away.
Where the rumor came from
Actor Alfredo Adame posted a farewell message saying Laura Bozzo had died. The information was false, and the post drew a lot of criticism online.
Her representative, Aaron Guerrero, denied it in his Instagram stories and asked for respect for the family.
Laura Bozzo, born in Peru, became famous across Latin America with her show Laura en América and her catchphrase: Bring in the scoundrel!
What happened to her
Laura Bozzo was rushed to hospital on October 13 in Acapulco, Guerrero, with severe stomach pain.
Doctors found a perforated gastric ulcer that caused peritonitis, a serious infection inside the abdomen. She had emergency surgery and was then taken by ambulance to an IMSS clinic in Mexico City.
How she is now
She is still in intensive care, but improving. Journalist Sebastián Reséndiz said on October 27 on the show *Hoy* that, if this continues, she could soon move to a regular room.
Her daughters have preferred not to speak publicly.
